Dr. Hailey is Chief Pharmacy Officer and Senior Vice President, Pharmacy Services for Coventry Health Care, Inc. and Executive Vice President, Coventry Prescription Management Services, Inc. Dr. Hailey is a Corporate Officer of Coventry Health Care, Inc. and a member of Coventry Health Care's Senior Management team. Dr. Hailey is a Corporate Officer and Board member for Coventry Prescription Management Services, Inc.

Dr. Hailey has full corporate responsibility for Coventry Health Care's Pharmacy Services covering over 6 million lives in all 50 States and Puerto Rico. He services as Co-Chairman of Coventry Health Care's National Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and Chairman of Coventry's Pharmacy Subcommittee. He is also a member of Coventry Health Care's Technology Assessment Committee, which evaluates and develops guidelines and criteria for coverage of biotech drugs, injectables and specialty pharmaceuticals. His responsibilities include managing a team of Regionally based Clinical Pharmacists and support staff. He also has responsibility for developing and implementing Coventry Health Care's national pharmacy strategies, contracting, formulary management for the Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare business, clinical Pharmacy initiatives, disease state management and all functions related to Pharmacy. He has direct responsibility for contract initiatives with national retail pharmacy networks, national ancillary and injectable contracting (including specialty pharmaceuticals), development and implementation of Pharmacy benefit designs and managing the relationships and contracting with all pharmacy related companies, including the Pharmaceutical manufacturers. Dr. Hailey works with the sales and marketing and corporate communications department to develop and implement all communications and educational materials related to Coventry Health Care's Pharmacy strategies and programs. He works with finance, actuarial and underwriting concerning budgets, benefit designs, RFPs and all pharmacy financial initiatives.

Dr. Hailey obtained his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy (Ole Miss) and his Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmacy, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Hailey received his Masters in Business Administration (with an emphasis in marketing) from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy license in Tennessee and is also licensed to practice Pharmacy in Mississippi. He is currently serving as Past-President for AMCP (Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy) and President of FMCP (Foundation of Managed Care Pharmacy), AMCP Board member from 2001-2006. He has served as President-Elect and President of AMCP, as well as Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Industry Relations Committee, Membership Committee, Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee, Finance Committee and Organizational Affairs Committee. He served as Board liaison to the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy, Professional Practice Committee, Membership Committee and Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee. He is currently serving as the AMCP Diplomat for the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He has been an active member of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association, American Pharmaceutical Association (voting delegate and Remington Honor Medal Review Committee), American Society of Health System Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Society.

Dr. Hailey has been a past Board Member of the Biotech Medical Management Association (BMMA). Dr. Hailey serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Mississippi and has published several articles, written chapters in textbooks and given numerous presentations throughout the healthcare industry. Dr. Hailey is currently serving on the Editorial Advisory Board of Formulary, a peer-reviewed drug management journal for managed care and hospital decision makers. Dr. Hailey also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Managed Healthcare Executive, a journal for decision makers in healthcare and he serves on the Board of Advisors for Pharmacy Times, practical information for today's Pharmacist. Dr. Hailey serves as an Advisory Board Member of The Galderma Quality Report for Dermatology and Managed Care.
