The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and Roche Laboratories Inc. are pleased to provide you with the Pharmacist’s Directory 4th Edition. This handy guide is designed as a one-stop reference for the information most useful to busy pharmacists.The front sections of the Pharmacist’s Directory offer quick access to frequently needed data (e.g., normal laboratory values, national disease management guidelines, pediatric dosing recommendations for popular nonprescription medications) in easy-to-use formats. This information was compiled from standard health-care references. Contact information for national pharmacy associations and major pharmaceutical manufacturers (with a focus on the numbers to call for medical information or adverse reaction reporting) is also included.
A unique feature of the Pharmacist’s Directory is the “Guide to Health Care Information on the World Wide Web.” This listing of Web sites is intended to help pharmacists direct patients to credible, useful information about common diseases and conditions. The listing is arranged alphabetically according to disease or condition.
Special sections at the back of the Pharmacist’s Directory summarize policies and services of Roche Laboratories Inc. and describe select professional resources available from APhA.
