Target Audience
Physicians involved in the care of patients with cancer. Statement
of Need
Physicians who care for patients with cancer need the most current information on cancer care. This activity will help the practitioner assess risk and diagnose anemia in chronic disease in patients with cancer in order to appropriately treat and improve the patients quality of life.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to improve their patient care by being able to:
- Evaluate the risk of anemia in chronic disease
- Recognize the development of anemia and apply appropriate treatment
- Assess the patient and perform appropriate diagnostic tests
