Target Audience
Physicians involved in the care of patients with cancer. Statement
of Need Physicians who care for patients with cancer need the most current information on cancer care. CSFs have a very important role in the treatment of the patient with cancer. This activity will review the guidelines for CSF use as well as their implementation and practical application.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to improve their patient care by being able to:
- Identify the incidence of neutropenia and febrile neutropenia in the care of cancer.
- Review the guidelines, implementation of guidelines, and practical considerations for CSFs.
