Purpose and Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand the historical significance of therapeutic cannabis;
- Understand the potential pulmonary risks related to smoking cannabis and how to minimize them;
- Increase awareness of the international clinical studies on the variety of indications for cannabis/cannabinoids;
- Gain an understanding of how to appropriately and safely prescribe dosage of cannabis;
- Examine your professional responsibility related to the patients' demand for access to therapeutic cannabis.
Target Audience:
Physicians, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Attorneys.
Medical Specialties: Oncology, Palliative care, Family Practice and Primary Care, Pain Management, Neurology, Rehab, AIDS/HIV.
