Purpose and Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the historical significance of therapeutic cannabis;
  • Understand the potential pulmonary risks related to smoking cannabis and how to minimize them;
  • Increase awareness of the international clinical studies on the variety of indications for cannabis/cannabinoids;
  • Gain an understanding of how to appropriately and safely prescribe dosage of cannabis;
  • Examine your professional responsibility related to the patients' demand for access to therapeutic cannabis.

Target Audience:
Physicians, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Attorneys.
Medical Specialties: Oncology, Palliative care, Family Practice and Primary Care, Pain Management, Neurology, Rehab, AIDS/HIV.

Instructions for Obtaining Credit:
CME credit is obtained upon completion of the program content and submission of the activity evaluation.
