Description
Genital human papillomaviruses (HPV) are estimated to be the most
common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) infecting Americans.
Currently, genital HPV affects approximately 20 million Americans,
with 50 percent of those individuals being between the ages of
15 and 24. Furthermore, an estimated 6.2 million Americans each
year are newly infected with a genital HPV infection. This continuing
education article focuses mainly on the presentation, transmission,
diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of anogenital disease, specifically
anogenital warts and cervical cancer, associated with HPV infections.
Instructions for Participation
To receive a certificate of completion that indicates your eligibility for continuing education credit, you must:
- Review
the content of the activity.
- Successfully complete the post-test (70% or higher).
- You will have
two (2) opportunities to successfully complete the activity.
Your statement of credit will be issued immediately upon successful completion of the post-test and submission of the evaluation.
