This application based activity includes 6 hours web-based instruction plus 6 hours assessment and independent study.
Educational Objectives:
After completing this course, the participant should be better able to:
- Correctly pronounce any word in Spanish.
- Communicate in complete sentences.
- Greet a Spanish-speaking patient and ask basic questions.
- State the date and time.
- Discuss symptoms and medical conditions.
- Discuss insurance.
- Inform patients of prescription status.
- Communicate problems with refills.
- Obtain personal information such as drug allergies and current medications.
- Name prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Give accurate directions for use including warnings of side effects and drug interactions.

Method of Participation:
To receive a statement of credit, you must:
- Complete each lesson by reviewing the full content of the activity and practice the content as suggested in the course.
- Successfully complete the post-assessment and evaluation (70% or higher)
- You will have three opportunities to successfully complete the post-assessment
Your statement of credit will be issued immediately upon successful completion of the post-assessment and submission of the evaluation form.
Fee:
$95 for the 12-hour course.
