Goal

This program is designed to provide the practitioner with the scientific information available on the therapeutic options used in the treatment of the perimenopause phase of menopause.

Objectives

 After the completion of this program the practitioner will be able to:

  1. Describe the health care needs of the perimenopausal woman.
  2. Counsel the perimenopausal woman on why these changes are occurring and how they can be prevented and treated.
  3. Evaluate the appropriateness of hormone replacement therapy or alternative forms of therapy for a perimenopausal woman.
The Washington State University College of Pharmacy is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education.

Two hours (0.2 CEUS) will be awarded to participants who complete the program and receive >70% on the continuing education examination.
