Pamala Marquess, PharmD, is the Interim Director of Community Pharmacy Residency Program at Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, she has 15 years of pharmacy ownership and management experience and currently co-owns three independent pharmacies. She provides care to her patients through immunizations, diabetes education, osteoporosis counseling, and hormone replacement therapy.

Dr. Marquess received a Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy, where she serves as an Adjunct Faculty member and Residency Preceptor. She has also completed certificate programs as a diabetes specialist as well as in asthma, immunization, osteoporosis screening, and cardiac risk reduction.

A noted lecturer, Dr. Marquess has delivered presentations on pharmacist interventions for diabetes, nonhormonal alternatives to menopause, managed care and community pharmacy to enhance patient care, and creating public and provider demand for medication therapy management services.

Dr. Marquess is an active member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, the Cobb County Pharmaceutical Association (Past President), the Georgia Pharmacy Association, and the National Community Pharmacists Association, having served on several boards and committees. In addition, she has received numerous awards for leadership and professional practice, and in 2003 was the White Coat Ceremony Keynote Speaker for Mercer University.
